Advisors, a subsidiary of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation,
is a leading provider of third-party due diligence and loan sale
advisory services. We are seeking candidates for Director and Vice
President roles to join our client relationship team, working
closely with senior members of our Due Diligence and Loan Sale
Advisory teams.The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge of the
bank and non-bank lending markets, with familiarity across all
single-family mortgage debt originators and capital market
participants. Product knowledge should include new originations,
performing, re-performing, sub-performing, and distressed asset
classes. The candidate should also possess relationships with debt
capital markets participants, including mortgage loan originators,
banks (community, regional, money center, international),
investment banks, specialty finance companies, and funds.The
anticipated salary range is $150,000 plus commissions.Key
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key
decision-makers at loan originators requiring third-party review
diligence for securitization or buy/sell projects. Engage with
active participants in the capital markets loan purchase and sale
environment, including loan originators, banks, special servicers,
debt funds, private lenders, hedge funds, and CDO/CLO
managers.
- Drive new business development and maintain existing client
relationships.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences and events,
scheduling and attending meetings with current and prospective
clients. Share innovative ideas and strategic insights to enhance
client engagement.
- Maintain comprehensive tracking and reporting of business
development activities to ensure transparency and alignment with
organizational goals.
- Collaborate with the Loan Sale Advisory Team to align loan
sales and due diligence opportunities, supporting loan sale
transactions.Key Attributes:
- Extensive relationships with loan origination companies and
in-depth knowledge of their operations.
- Experience in investment banking or secondary marketing
trading.
- Background in mortgage, real estate, or structured products at
financial services or private equity firms.
- Experience in structured products, lending, special servicing,
corporate development, or real estate underwriting/investment
analysis.
- Prior residential loan sales experience at an established
brokerage or advisory firm; consumer loan/MSR sales experience is a
plus.
- Strong skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, database management,
with Salesforce experience preferred.
- Excellent business writing skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, with a strong
drive and responsibility-oriented mindset.
- A genuine interest in debt capital markets and real
